And I installed Corel Draw X6 on that, and it worked fine. I did get a spare hard drive to load a fresh copy of Windows 7 on to keep around in case my main hard drive suddenly crashed. As soon as I open the program, it would open up and then parts of it would just flicker and you couldn't do anything. And I still hadn't been able to get Corel Draw X6 or X7 to work. Though I did have to clone it to a new hard drive since I started this thread. I'm still running the same install of Windows 7. If this doesn't work unless you know how to do registry edits or can do a system file check and restore a format is in order but is not typical. If you can open Photopaint independently from Corel this is the problem.įor those trying to install X7 this should also allow you to install now. Most of the time if you were to try and runaway macro it will crash just like when you try to open Photopaint from Corel. Microsoft update corrupted the visual C for Corel that's used for Macros. Reboot, make sure a all windows updates are up to date. After you get everything removed do a search for Corel on the entire C: drive. ![]() If you have any dongles unplugg from PC before starting. Look further down and uninstall any Visual C redistribables or Visual studio redistribables. If you have office even uninstall the visual studio for office. Microsoft visual Studio There may be many. Uninstall Corel make sure all you files are backed up and choose remove all user files, the Corel shell extension, all Microsoft Visual C installs.
